JustinGuarnini2In addition to his hosting duties, Guarini recently blogged about the Season Eight of “American Idol” on Fancast, a one-stop online entertainment destination created by Comcast Corporation. The Season One finalist and ultimate insider shared his insights and observations following each episode and related the on-screen drama to his personal experiences as one of the most popular contestants in the show’s history. As part of the partnership, Guarini also participated in exclusive interviews and interact online with Fancast users.

Guarini is also in the process of recording his third studio album, ‘Get It.’ Additionally, one of his original compositions was chosen for inclusion on a promotional CD distributed by Dreyers/Edy’s Grand Ice Cream. The 1.2 million promotional CD’s were available February through May of 2008 in 6,000 national and regional grocery chains and featured new music by seven other “American Idol” finalists.

Furthermore, Guarini starred as professional race car driver Darryl K. Sands in the 2008 family/action film ‘Fast Girl.’ The film also starred Caroline Rhea and Mircea Monroe in the title role.

Since “American Idol,” Guarini has added to his credits the National “Idol” Tour, performing to sold out audiences of over 20,000 each night; his 2003 debut album ‘Justin Guarini,’ which was produced by RCA Records and Clive Davis, 2005’s ‘Stranger Things Have Happened,’ and 2008’s acoustic EP ‘Revolve’; a major motion picture, ‘From Justin to Kelly’; numerous appearances on popular television programs such as “Oprah,” “The Tonight Show,” “Good Morning America,” “The Today Show,” “Teen Choice Awards,” the FOX Television comedy “Run Of The House,” and AMC’s “Film Fakers.” He has hosted web shows for Mania TV, “U Pick ‘Em,” “Too Short For Hollywood,” and “Webcam Karaoke.” Additionally, he has held concerts in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Japan.

Guarini’s formal music education began at the age of four with the Atlanta Boys Choir and continued with the Philadelphia Arch-Diocese Choir. After concentrating on his classical and spiritual music background, he went on to study vocal performance, dance, theatrical arts, and film and television acting at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia.

A strong believer in music education, Guarini has lobbied on Capitol Hill on behalf of The International Music Products Association, which seeks to curb the slashing of music education in U.S. schools, and has performed in concert with The Commodores, Take 6, Diana DeGarmo, and John Stevens to benefit music education.
