Scola (born Rufus Waller on March 2, 1978) is an African-American singer, dancer, and musician.
Rufus has been active in music since the early 1990s. His childhood dreams were music and dancing. In 1992, he joined The Perfect Combination and he performed with them in several local events. The other two members of this group were Dae Dae & Jamieo.
In the mid-1990s, he also began his solo career. As a solo artist, he released his debut single "Let's Get Personal" in 1996. Later on, he released his debut album under the title One Love, One Struggle. In 2007, he released his 3rd album under the title Scola's Lost Treasures. During that time he also released singles like "Why You Beefin'" and "Bump Yo Head."
Scola is best known as the fifth member of multi-platinum R&B act Dru Hill, a group he has written and sung lead on songs such as "I Love You", "Old Love", and "I Should Be". He joined the group in 2002. After he joined this musical group, Dru Hill released its 3rd studio album under the title Dru World Order at the end of 2002. Scola remained with Dru Hill until 2008. He is back with Dru Hill for the Summer 2024 tour!
