The New I-Pad

The New I-Pad

We cannot do business without Apple and tablets, we cannot do life without humans and music.

IPAD3The new I-Pad is already on sale in Japan. It will be on sale here in the USA tomorrow. Apparently, there is a huge frenzy over there. People sleeping out in front of the store, yada, yada, yada.

I can remember a time when the world had that type of behaviour for an artist releasing a new album. What has happened? Now we clammer for gadgets!?

Of course on this and other “gadgets” people can download their favorite tunes. It seems as if we have trained a whole new generation to want and clammer for canned, (or as ASCAP would call it), mechanical music. Who needs live music when you can get “your” music on-demand? On-demands means the end user/customer is now in control.

Mark Sonder Productions just signed Portuguese rock/pop star José Cid. I bring this up as José just asked ME what music/tunes in his extensive catalog HE should perform! Can you imagine an artist asking his agent that? Would Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Tony Bennett or Jimmy Buffett ask their agent? Certainly not! José wants to surprise his audiences/customers. He wants to innovate. He wants to stand out. He wants to put the control back in the hands of his customers by not keeping with a specific “set list” as all rock/pop artists do whether you hear them in London, Lisbon or Los Angeles. Cid wants to take a chance, not just present what he has done successfully in the past.

CidIPADTry José Cid out today. He is musically the new version of the I-Pad. A creative musical thinker. Music transcends all borders and languages and money. Whether in Europe, Japan or the US. Whether Portuguese, Japanese or English. Whether the Euro, Yen or Dollar.

We cannot do business without Apple and tablets, we cannot do life without humans and music.

The Beach Boys Are Back!

Original Beach Boys To Reunite For Tour

A corporate/association favorite, this band is still rockin’ after all these years!  Call today for availabilities and pricing +1-540-636-1640.

The founding members of The Beach Boys announced that they are planning to reunite for a 50th Anniversary in 2012 that will include both a new studio album as well as a 50-date international tour, kicking off in April with a headline billet at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The Boys reportedly already have the lion’s share of the new album in the can, with more on the way for the album, which will be released in 2012 on the band’s original label, Capitol. As well, commemorative reissues of material from their back catalog are also in the works.

Founded in Hawthorne, California in 1961, The Beach Boys were originally comprised of the three Wilson brothers: Brian, Carl and Dennis, their cousin Mike Love, and school friend Al Jardine. In 1962, neighbor David Marks joined the group for their first wave of hits on Capitol Records, leaving in late 1963, and in 1965, Bruce Johnston joined the band when Brian Wilson retired from touring to focus on writing and producing records for the group. For five decades, America’s first pop band to reach the 50 year milestone has recorded and performed the music that has become the world’s favorite soundtrack to summer.

The band still holds the Billboard /Nielsen SoundScan’s record as the top-selling American band for albums and singles, and they are also the American group with the most Billboard Top 40 chart hits (36).

Call today to engage The Beach Boys for your corporate, association, casino or other events +1-540-636-1640.
