Mark Sonder Productions Entertainment Agency Called Upon to Open The McAllen Texas Performing Arts Center
Tito Puente Jr. and His Orchestra to Headline at Grand Opening on November 20
McAllen, TX, November 16, 2016: Mark Sonder, MM, CSEP and the Chief Entertainment Officer at Mark Sonder Productions Entertainment Agency is proud to announce that his award-winning company has been chosen to open the McAllen Performing Arts Center. Representing many fine artists, Tito Puente Jr. & His Orchestra was the selected artist to headline this grand opening.
Puente's father is best known for his multi-platinum tune, "Oye Como Va," which has been covered by many artists and made famous by Carlos Santana.
Tito Puente, Jr. has become an audience favorite in casinos, performing arts centers, symphony halls and jazz festivals worldwide, performing more than 300 shows over the past 5 years.
Tito was also the leading character in the Lions Gate Entertainment major motion picture, "Señorita Justice" which starred Eva Longoria and Yancy Mendia. Furthermore, Puente Jr. was honored as well as being a presenter at the 1st New England Salsa Music Awards held in October 2015.
The New McAllen Performing Arts Center will present a wide variety of nationally recognized productions of music, dance and theater to the people of South Texas. The City of McAllen is committed to enhancing the arts and cultural experience by delivering the most advanced performing arts center south of San Antonio by bringing a broader variety of entertainment and live performance that has never been possible before in South Texas. Besides Tito Puente Jr., Tony Bennett, the Jersey Boys, Elf The Musical, and many others will be performing at this new facility.
